Training and studying opportunities in the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology (INCT)

The INCT offers a four year Ph.D. degree programme to graduates of chemical, physical and biological departments of universities, to graduates of medical universities and to engineers in chemical technology and material science. The main areas of the studies are:

The candidates accepted for the aforementioned programme can be employed in the Institute. The candidates can apply for a doctoral scholarship. During the four-year studies the students participate in lectures given by senior staff from the INCT, the Warsaw University and the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Most of the students profit from training in numerous European research centres with which the INCT collaborates, e.g. European Institute of Transuranium Elements in Karlsruhe, Philips Cyclotron in Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland, Ghent University, Orsay University, etc.

Each year Ph.D. students are obliged to deliver a lecture on a topic of his/her dissertation at a seminar.

The qualification interview for the Ph.D. studies takes place in the mid of October.

In addition to PhD studies, the INCT educates trainees coming with IAEA fellowships. Graduates or post-graduates with Marie Curie fellowships are also welcome to work in the institute, in the fields mentioned above and also in radiation biology.
